Premier League to seek $2B for American media rights
The English Premier League is expected to seek bids instead of renewing the current deal with Comcast, according to Bloomberg.
The current agreement, under which Comcast’s NBC broadcasts EPL’s games in the United States, expires at the end of 2021-2022.
“We certainly want to continue our great relationship with the Premier League,” NBC Sports said in a statement. “Now in our ninth season, we have worked together to drive major growth for the sport in the U.S with innovative production and unmatched promotion.” Read more

Unvaccinated fans to be barred from sports venues in England
Unvaccinated people will not be allowed to attend sports events in England if COVID-19 places pandemic worsens.
The British Government has prepared a plan for the coming months, which include measures to be introduced in the event of the situation in which the pandemic places unsustainable pressure on the NHS.
