Cricket action kicks off in the US
The action-packed tournament is scheduled to start on July 13 and will be hosted at two venues, Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and Church Street Park in Morrisville.
It will feature six teams (Texas Super Kings, Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, and Washington Freedom) competing in a 19-game competition. Interestingly, four of these six teams are owned by Indian T20 league franchises competing in the prestigious Indian Premier League.
The league will feature a number of overseas cricket stats including Australia’s Aaron Finch and Marcus Stoinis, South Africa’s Wayne Parnell, Quinton de Kock, Marco Jansen and Anrich Nortje, and Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga. The final championship match will take place on July 30 at the Grand Prairie stadium in Texas.
